Main Report
I saw an apparent MrBeast promotion for a crypto-gambling website shared in a small Discord community. Because the person who posted it was part of that community, it initially looked believable. I later concluded the account may have been compromised and that the promotion was not genuine.
The site I encountered was nesowin.com. It offered a promo code that displayed a $3,500 balance supposedly available for immediate withdrawal or gambling. However, it would not let me do anything with that balance unless I entered payment-card information and deposited $200 in BTC.
The next supposed step was account verification, followed by a second request for a larger $300 deposit before the displayed funds could be accessed. I stopped before making that first BTC deposit, but I had already entered my card details and was worried about the exposure.
The site also appeared to make account deletion conditional on being fully verified and withdrawing the displayed balance, which did not seem possible. This is a warning not to trust celebrity-branded crypto promotions from Discord or X, especially where a free balance is used to push a deposit and repeated verification fees.
