Fp-markets.net asked me to pay 15% of my deposit before it would release my funds

I used fp-markets.net believing it was connected to the established FP Markets name. When I attempted to withdraw my funds, the site demanded 15% of my deposit as proof that I was the account holder.

After that, it asked for additional payments because more than one wallet had been used to fund the account. The requests grew instead of leading to a completed withdrawal.

I later learned that fp-markets.net was not the official FP Markets domain. This is a warning to check the exact address before funding a forex account. A one-character domain difference can lead to an entirely different platform.
