Main Report
I was introduced to eth-pool.info after a woman spent almost two weeks talking with me throughout each day. She encouraged the idea of earning high interest and even talked about selling my house and travelling together in the future. I trusted the relationship enough to interact with the mining-pool event.
About fifteen minutes after I clicked it, 10,100 USDT was withdrawn in front of me. The platform's display made it look as if the money was still in its pool, but I could not control or withdraw it. Customer service then told me to deposit another 10,100 USDT to unlock the first amount.
I realized the second deposit could be taken in exactly the same way. I stopped instead of doubling the loss. I reported what happened to IC3 and my local police in Canada.
My warning is not to treat a balance shown inside a mining page as proof that the tokens remain recoverable. If a smart-contract event removes wallet funds and the operator demands an equal replacement deposit, do not send it. Save the domain, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, chats, and police-report information.
