I am warning others about a decimal-based crypto transfer trick that almost looks harmless until the victim is rushed.
The scammer pretended to send a large payment, using fake completion screenshots and confusion around decimal formatting. In the example I saw, the amount was made to look like thousands of dollars, when in reality the decimal placement meant it was only a few dollars and cents. Then the scammer pressured for a return of the supposed overpayment.
This happened around a service provider situation where my brother was helping someone who did not understand crypto well. These people use fake passports, fake transaction images, and urgency. Always check the actual received balance and decimal placement before sending anything back.
