I joined ECX Crypto Exchange after seeing it recommended in an online crypto group. The platform looked legitimate at first with a full trading dashboard and account balance that appeared to grow after I deposited funds.
The issues started when I tried to withdraw. I was told my account required additional verification before any withdrawal could be processed. After completing that, I was asked to pay a processing fee. Then another fee followed shortly after.
Every time I completed one requirement, a new one appeared. Eventually I realized I was not actually being allowed to withdraw anything. Support responses became repetitive and unhelpful, and later I stopped getting replies entirely.
Honestly can't even blame anyone for falling for these, they happen a lot in this industry. I learnt the hard way dealing with crypto after I lost all my money to a shady exchange. I'm lucky I was able to get it all back thanks to a recovery pro.
