A fake Polymarket Discord support account tried to send me to its own sign-in link

I linked my Discord account to the Polymarket support community because I had a question about a market display issue. Almost immediately after joining, a second account that looked similar to support contacted me before I had even explained my problem.

The account kept asking whether I had signed in and eventually sent a link telling me to sign in through it. The speed and unsolicited nature of the message made it look like an impersonation attempt rather than normal support.

I did not use the link. I am recording this because people who join a support Discord may assume that a direct message arriving right after they enter is official. Treat unexpected support messages and sign-in links as suspicious, even when they appear beside an official community.
