A Solana mining ad led me to an app that triggered account login attempts

I followed a YouTube ad that claimed I could earn Solana mining rewards from an app.

After I downloaded it, things immediately went wrong. I started seeing login attempts from other regions and had to shut them down while the activity was still happening. The promised reward made me ignore the obvious problem: Solana is not something you mine from a random mobile app.

I would avoid any ad promising hourly SOL mining rewards. In my case, the app looked more like an account-stealing setup than a crypto earning tool.
