I have been trying to clean out my account on ApexForex for over two weeks now. Every time I hit the withdraw button, the system throws a restriction error. I finally got a hold of someone via their web chat, and they sent me a long email about a new policy change. They claim that due to "unprecedented institutional liquidity rebalancing," all retail accounts have been placed on a mandatory 90-day capital lockup.
This was never mentioned in any of the original terms when I signed up and deposited my funds. To make matters worse, they told me that if I want to bypass the 90-day lockup period, I have to upgrade to a premium tier by depositing an additional $1,500.
Here is what they are trying to do:
- Freeze your original deposit with arbitrary new rules.
- Ignore all support emails that quote their original terms of service.
- Extort more money from you under the guise of an "account upgrade."
This is clearly a failing platform or a deliberate exit strategy. Do not fall for the upgrade trick, you will just lose even more money.
