Vanedex displayed a $2,500 promotional balance with no credible withdrawal path

I received a Vanedex promotion that credited $2,500 to a newly created account.

The balance appeared immediately and could supposedly be used for games and cryptocurrency activity. What I could not verify was whether anyone had successfully withdrawn the promotional funds without first paying a deposit, tax, or activation charge.

I stopped before connecting a wallet or sending money. A number inside an unknown website is not an asset until it can be transferred to an independently controlled account.
