I matched with a woman on HER who said she was from Singapore and worked as a partner in an apparel company. She claimed that a real, prominent banker was her aunt and the person who had taught her cryptocurrency trading.

She sent selfies, voice messages, short videos and photographs of an expensive lifestyle. We moved away from HER the next day and communicated constantly. She used affectionate names and said she preferred focusing on one romantic prospect at a time.

After about a week, she asked me to download a cryptocurrency app and offered to guide me through simulated trades. She still had not directly requested money or banking information, which was one reason the approach did not initially feel like fraud.

I researched the pattern before progressing and stopped without losing money. Soon afterwards, I found what appeared to be the same operator using a fresh dating profile with different photographs and a different name.
