My crypto was stolen, and blockchain analysis traced it through an intermediary wallet to an address believed to belong to HitBTC.
I have already filed an FBI IC3 report, made a police report, and have a detective working on the case. What I need to understand is whether HitBTC has a process for responding to law-enforcement requests involving traced stolen funds.
I am looking for firsthand experience from anyone who has dealt with HitBTC after a theft. I want to follow a legitimate route and avoid anyone claiming they can recover funds for an upfront fee.
