The contact begins like a normal part-time job lead from LinkedIn or Indeed. Once the user engages, the work moves into a separate platform where tasks, boosts, commissions, or account balances create the illusion of legitimate earnings. The platform then controls the payout path and can demand more money before releasing anything.

A Reddit r/Scams post from June 13, 2026 described Recom-lab.com as suspicious from the beginning after the poster was contacted while applying for jobs. Do not trust job platforms that require deposits, crypto transfers, balance top-ups, or paid unlocks to receive wages.
