A crypto “teacher” has put my family member’s marriage and savings at risk

A family member is deep in what appears to be a crypto-trading confidence scheme. The person guiding him presents as an attractive woman and acts as his investment “teacher.” He is married, so the situation is damaging more than his finances.

We have helped his wife secure her accounts and assets, and we have kept him out of our home since learning what was happening. Several people have tried to reason with him, but he dismisses them. He does not yet know how much the rest of the family has discovered, and we are worried that a blunt confrontation could make him isolate himself and accelerate the payments.
