A man I met online introduced me to the CoinHodlCoin mining pool at defi.dntmoube.com as a passive-income opportunity. I transferred funds from CoinSpot to my Bitget wallet and opened the mining pool through a DeFi application link. The page displayed auditors, regulators and prominent partners, which made the operation appear credible.

The platform claimed to mine ETH according to the amount of USDT in my Bitget wallet. Initially, I could convert the displayed ETH earnings to USDT and withdraw them to the wallet. The daily return was approximately 1%, with a higher advertised rate for larger balances.

I increased the balance until it reached approximately 100,000 USDT to qualify for the higher return. The mining pool then drained the connected Bitget wallet. I had not understood that the earlier wallet connection allegedly included a contract approval capable of moving the USDT.

The platform continued showing the funds inside its interface and claimed they had been frozen because illegal money was being laundered through the pool. When I tried to withdraw, further restrictions appeared instead of the funds being returned. The professional dashboard and successful early withdrawals did not prevent the connected wallet from being emptied.

  • Most of these platforms are scams, lots of cases of people losing everything to these type of platforms. They give unrealistic promises but in the end it's all lies. Just be careful when dealing with them, if maybe you think you already invested use a platform like RankedSafe dot com and report them there. You'll get back everything you lost, they are fast, kind and reliable.
